Holy Week Fraternities Bands The streets of Holy Week
Official route
What is the What is Holy Week?
Official route

The official route is the route taken by each brotherhood consecutively, on each day of the Holy Week. The route has been modified over the course of the time and, at present, only comprises one street and one square: Claudio Marcelo and Las Tendillas. In both spaces stages and chairs have been set out, where, for the price of a ticket, the general public can comfortably sit and enjoy the processions. Ticket prices are agreed by the Association of Fraternities. Even though this route is not the most spectacular for any of the brotherhoods, it’s where they can be seen by the largest amount of people. The local TV channels also broadcast from this location.

Authorities Stage.
In Las Tendillas Square there is what is known as the Authorities Stage, which is presided over by a member of the city council and a leading ecclesiastical figure. It is also for special guests and local dignitaries.
Schedule Control.
The Association of Fraternities uses the ‘official route’ to organize the procession schedules for the Brotherhoods. This is extremely important, as any delay can affect not only the spectators, but also the other fraternities. It can also disturb road traffic. If you decide to view the processions on the official route, be sure to visit one of the ticket vendors for more information about seat availability, as places on the stage are in great demand.
